BDP FAMILY DAY 2009 @ BOTTLE TREE PARK (YISHUN) ON 18 JUL 09 (2 - 6 PM)
BDP Family Day this year was held at Bottle Tree Park @ Yishun on 18July 09 at 2 pm. Activities include Swan ride, educational tour, Longkang Fishing and a host of games such as Caterpillar, Musical Go Round, Cross River, and Captain’s Ball.
BDP FAMILY DAY - Prawn Fishing @ Bishan Park on 10 May 08 (Sat) 2-6pm
BDP Singapore organised a family event, Prawn Fishing, at Bishan Park on 10 May 08 from 2 to 6 pm. The event provided a host of unique new experience and fun to BDP staff and family members. Staff would get a chance to enjoy their harvest at the end of their catch through a barbecue treat. Great thanks to the 2007/2008 committee members as follows :-

H1N1 FLU PANDEMIC BIZ CONTINUITY PLAN (2009)
With the steady rise in the number of daily H1N1 cases in Singapore, we will need to gear up for the eventuality that our business operation will soon be impacted as the flu bug find its ways into our current workforce. This is unavoidable and we will need to prepare to mitigate the business risk impact.
Under the current situation, the possible scenario that will materialise when some of our staff got infected with H1N1 is as follows:-
1. The team members that are in close proximity and close contact with the infected staff will be issued by health authority quarantine order and asked to stay at home for 7 days.
2. The office may be ordered to shut down for 7 days if a cluster developed in the office with many of the staff reportedly infected with H1N1. Some of the staff will be issued with quarantine order while some may continue to work at alternative worksite.
3. Shifting of Office quipments or files to alternative sites may not be possible as they needs to be disinfected. Disinfection will take about 2 to 3 days before staff that are not infected can return back to office.
What can we do to ensure that business continue unaffected and customers shipment orders are processed as per normal?

2. Be Responsible
If you are sick and having a fever, do not report for work. Consult a doctor immediately. Keep your team supervisor informed.
If you just came back from the H1N! Flu infected countries listed at MOH website, please inform your team manager and he will advise if you need to stay away from office and work from home.
If any of your family members living with you have been infected with H1N1 but you have yet to receive Quarantine order from MOH, please inform your team manager and he will advise accordingly.

Global BDP SIGNAGE 2009
The old signage "BDP Asia Pacific Ltd " ,which had been around since the start of our BDP Distribution Centre about 5 to 6 years ago @ Pioneer Sector 3, has been upgraded and replaced on 2 June 2009 with the global logo signage "BDP International". This signage will portray BDP more distinctly as a Global multinational with Global presence.

SECURED TRADE PARTNERSHIP AWARD (STP) ACCREDITATION 25 MAY 2009
We've Got It !!!
Special thanks to our dear colleague, Tan Sheau Shan , and his team for the hardwork and sacrifice in making this accreditation possible for BDP.
After 3 months of preparation and undergoing stringent on-site audit by Singapore Custom in Apr 09, we have finally been successfully and officially awarded with Secured Trade Partnership Award (STP) by Singapore Custom today, 26th May 2009.
Such accreditation by an independent Governmental organisation is a further testimony to BDP's Operation and Service Excellence, and committment to Supply Chain Security which give BDP a distinctive edge over its competitors.
It is something BDP Singapore is proud of as there is only a limited few (about 30 companies) of 3000 logistics companies in Singapore that have been successfully awarded with Secured Trade Partnership Award by Singapore Custom.
