During the retreats, members participated in team building events and reinforced the esprit de corp spirit within BDP Singapore Team.

The outcome of the Retreat is a purpose statement for BDP Singapore : " BDP, a company, where we excel, CARE & DARE to make a difference!" The acronyms had the underlying message as follows:

BDP Annual Dinner & Dance - Dec 2007

BDP held its 2007 Annual Dinner & Dance on 15 Dec 2007. Unlike last year, it was held in Singapore this time and venue was at the heart of tourist attraction at Mama's Caribbean Bar @ Clarke Quay, River Valley. The theme was "Treasures of the Caribbean". Turnout was overwhelming and the event was a roaring success. Many enjoyed it as it was indeed unique for them to attend a company function in a Pub.

Special thanks and thumbs up to the 2007 Recreation Committee for the hard work and time in making the event a roaring sucess. The Committee members are as follows:-

A special thanks also to Yip Ying Ying who left BDP prior to the function but indeed had contributed much to the planning.

Yong Eng's ROM

The last day of Chinese Lunar New Year , 21 Feb 2008, proved to be an auspicious date as our dear colleague, Lee Yong Eng, took the first step in the matrimony journey to legally tie the knot with his loved one, Ms Samantha at Registrar of Marriage (ROM). If you re around on last friday, you should have received the announcement as below:-

Chinese Lunar New Year 2008 -"Lo He"

CLSC held its first Chinese Lunar New Year "Lo he" on last day of chinese new year on 21 February 2008 (Thurs). It is a much cherised tradition by most Chinese in Singapore during the Chinese Lunar New Year. Friends and colleagues, customers and vendors, and family members would gather during this auspicious calendar period at a round table to celebrate the Lunar New Year, strenghten bonds and relationship, and bless one another. As they lift up the "Yu Sheng" high up in the air with the chopsticks in their hand, they would make known their wishes to everyone for the year before tossing them down onto the plate. The rythmic motions are repeated until everyone had listed their wishes.

Some of the wishes are as follows:-

1. Strike TOTO (SGD $10 million) in the upcoming draw.
2. Have children for those who are recently married and more children for those that already had children

3. Big Bonus Payout

4. Less document error & more productive.

5. Good health etcs

Below are some of the pics that were taken during the Lo he session @ BDP Keppel office for your enjoyment.
